Course Description

This presentation by Stotler Hayes Group will provide LTC providers with an overview of flexibilities impacting reimbursement for LTC facilities during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, with an emphasis on Medicaid recoveries.  Attendees will learn about current state and federal guidelines for LTC Medicaid applications, eligibility criteria, redeterminations and termination of benefits, premiums and cost-sharing, and fair hearings, as well as explore restrictions limiting private recoveries and discharges.  Speakers will provide practical tips to LTC providers for managing residents’ Medicaid benefits during the Public Health Emergency and preparing to avoid any issues that may disrupt coverage when the Public Health Emergency ends.

Erin Saylor and Megan Jury

Erin-With a background in civil litigation, Erin works with health care providers to secure vital public benefits for their residents, and represents providers in related guardianship, probate, and collection proceedings. She is passionate about ensuring that providers have a payor-source so they can focus on caring for their residents. She has advocated for clients at numerous administrative and civil hearings and has appeared before state courts at the trial level. Erin strives to provide high quality, efficient, and cost effective representation to each of her clients.Megan- A well-rounded attorney, Megan brings nearly a decade of civil litigation experience to Stotler Hayes Group. She has experience with a wide variety of general litigation matters, including complex commercial and financial litigation. She served a three year term on the Board of Directors for the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Division and performed pro bono work for the District Court of Arizona’s Prisoner Rights Program. Megan is admitted to practice law in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. She currently resides in Colorado.
